Some of the activities included bonfire night, beauty pageant and awards, with Miss Olivia Omon Oleabhiele emerging as winner of the pageant. There were also carnival procession, musical concert and a closing ceremony, which ended yesterday. Competitive bands included Orukhu, Ikuegbegbe, Casablanca, Kukuruku and Muegbesuegbe. The non-competitive ones were Governor’s and Akoko-Edo. The event is reminiscent of the culture, tourism potential, hospitality and peace-loving nature of the Ososo people.The President, Ososo Carnival Initiative, Moses Teo Ajayi, said the event has been reviewed and redefined and aims at becoming world-class.
