Inspector General of Police (IGP) AKM Shahidul Hoque has said that Community Policing Day 2017 will be observed on Saturday, October 28, as the day is observed on the last Saturday of October. “Community policing is a voluntary task. “Community policing aims to engage people in mutual cooperation and partnership. The IGP also said that a community policing system is present in many countries of the world. There are now 958,004 members on 40,908 committees for community policing all over the Bangladesh,” he said.
