Committee on High Posts approves five new appointmentsNewsFive new appointments, including the appointment of a High Commissioner, have been approved by the Committee on High Posts today (17), according to the Communication Department of Parliament. Accordingly, the committee has approved the following new appointments:• Mr. P.R.S. Goonawardena - High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to the Republic of Maldives• Dr. M.M. Devendra - Chairman of the Sri Lanka Export Credit Insurance Corporation• Prof. M.A.R.M. Fernando - Chairman of Public Utilities Commission of Sri Lanka (PUCSL)• Mr. J. M. Soosaithasan - Chairman of State Mortgage and Investment BankThe Committee on High Posts convened in Parliament last week, chaired by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena.
