The committee, consisting of representatives from government, RMG owners and workers, is attending the meeting chaired by Secretary Afroza Khan from the Labour and Employment Ministry in the secretariat. Before the meeting, the RMG owners met with State Minister for Labour and Employment Begum Monnujan Sufian for an hour at the ministry. Earlier in the morning, RMG workers withdrew their protests in the Mirpur area. However, there were clashes between the workers and the police later in the morning, which led to at least 30 injuries.
