After the cut practice used by many doctors came to the fore, a 10-member committee was formulated in the second week of June to address the issue. The committee held their second meeting on Saturday to draft a bill for the same. No commission to doctors' came to light, the government formulated a committee to discuss the issue at large. One of the committee members, Dr Himmatrao Bawaskar, said, "We are right now in the drafting process, which will include defining cut practice, the penalty against doctors found guilty, and other such details." Dr Pravin Shingare, another committee member, said, "The first draft of the bill is ready and we are forwarding it to councillors for suggestions.
