NewsA member of Northern Provincial Council (NPC) today handed over documents including evidences to a committee that is mandated to investigate corruption and financial malpractices alleged to have happened in provincial cabinet. Linganathan said that he is hopeful that the committee will conduct a comprehensive investigation into alleged malpractices happened in Ministry of Agriculture recently. The Committee was set up by the council last month following a resolution passed saying many financial malpractices are still happening in the provincial ministry with the support of respective ministers. Last week, Chief Minister C.V Wigneswaran appointed the committee. Councilor G.T.Linganathan after handing over documents to the committee today.
