Today marks the 70th Westerly-Pawcatuck Columbus Day Parade ... one of the most highly anticipated events in our area. Free to voice those opinions, free to protest, free to do what we want when we want, and free to shape our own destinies. There are many things we’ve done before, but somehow each time this parade is mounted and steps off, it’s different. The Honored Citizens heading up each division are different, handpicked from among the best our communities have to offer. Pride in our flag, pride in our young people, pride in our towns.
