CEBU CITY—An employee of the Commission on Elections (Comelec) in Cebu was killed after he allegedly jumped off from the third floor of a mall in Cebu City on Tuesday. The police identified the victim as Rodrigo Maglasang, 45 and a native of Palompon town in Leyte. Maglasang, who had been with the Comelec for nine years, was assigned as assistant election officer in Tuburan town, northern Cebu. He and his brother Alvin came from Palompon town in Leyte on board separate fastcrafts on Tuesday and went directly to the mall near the reclamation area. SPO2 Wetzel Berry of Cebu City Police Office-Homicide Section, said a tenant of a candy store saw Maglasang climbing the spiral staircase leading to the third floor about 1 p.m.
