In news that would make Eric Cartman erupt with impatient rage, Comedy Central announced on Friday that the Season 21 premiere of South Park has been postponed from Aug. 23 to Sept. 13. The Season 4 premiere of the network's urban indie series Broad City was also rescheduled for that date, according to The Hollywood Reporter. For their upcoming season, South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone have been candid in the press about returning to their roots of making one-off episodes of "kids being kids" after exhaustively satirizing Donald Trump throughout the 2016 presidential campaign. Last year's Season 20 premiere, entitled "Member Berries," garnered South Park 3.7 million linear viewers (up 27 percent from the Season 19 premiere) and its highest-rated episode since 2006. "We try to come in every season with a new attitude, like this is what makes this season different than last season," Parker told The Hollywood Reporter.
