Come clean on Mor ChitLast week, a group of residents in Soi Vibhavadi 5 staged a protest against the Bangkok Metropolitan Administration for a land appropriation bid that will swallow their houses and property near the Skytrain depot, formerly the Mor Chit bus terminal, in order to accommodate an elevated road construction project. Previously, there were reports that Mor Chit bus terminal would be moved back to its old plot. Besides, confusion reigns after the Transport Ministry said it has no plans to relocate the Mor Chit bus terminal. The company has had big plans for developing the current Mor Chit Bus Terminal, because the present location has ample space for public inter-provincial buses without causing traffic congestion or pollution within local communities. In July, the Transport Company announced it plans to build an 800-metre skywalk which will provide a connection between Mor Chit terminal and the Bang Sue Grand Station.
