The flights services between Bengaluru and Ballari was originally planned way back in 2004 when lowcost carrier Air Deccan announced that it would operate flight on the route. The budget proposed to reduce ATF from 28 % to 5 % for small aircraft to boost air connectivity to remote and unconnected places under the centers UDAN scheme.
