Botanica 2019 is the work of 19 amateur and professional artists, all members of The Botanical Art Society of New Zealand. ''The exhibits here today come from all over New Zealand and it is a privilege to represent so many talented amateur and professional artists,'' the society's president, Jacquie Carran, from Rangiora, said during the opening. The Waimakariri Community Arts Council chairman, Brian Hoult, said it was ''a delight to be able to host this wonderful exhibition''.
