We cannot ‘equate’ hunger with child undernutrition. Child undernutrition remains a grave persistent problem that needs serious attention. But we cannot overlook India's poor situation in terms of child undernutrition as presented in the GHI report. We must act urgently to reduce child undernutrition. We should not let the Global Hunger Index ranking drag us down, but rather use it as motivation to combat child undernutrition more forcefully and with adequate budget through the ongoing Mission POSHAN 2.0.
