Columbus recognized in ‘Forbes’ Magazine for being a ‘hotspot for leisure & travel’

We know how to have fun here in Columbus, but also know how to get down to business, and none other than Forbes Magazine has recognized this. According to the 2023 State of the Visitor Industry’s Mid-year Report released by Experience Columbus and The Greater Columbus Sports Commission, Columbus tourism has generated $6.6 billion in revenue, with 49.6 million people visiting the city, which has apparently supported 75,000 jobs. Well, according to Forbes and Experience Columbus, first and foremost, there’s the leisurely aspects, including the Scioto Mile and cool neighborhoods. “Business professionals from across the country and world come to Columbus each year,” says Forbes. The expansion of the Hilton Columbus Downtown, which is now the largest hotel in the state, has also helped attract large meetings and conventions.
