George could reasonably argue that no Power Five program will give fans more bang for their buck over the next decade. Howell pointed out that in seven of the next 10 seasons, the Buffaloes will play Power Five opponents in 11 of their 12 games, counting their nine-game Pac-12 slate. According to Howell, CU is the only program in the country that has already filled out its nonconference schedule through 2028. Similarly, Stanford will play 11 Power Five games or more in at least four of the next eight years. Aside from their postseason aspirations, scheduling aggressiveness becomes a dollars-and-cents issue for many mid-level Power Five programs.
