NewsThe power interruptions that were due to take place in several parts of Colombo today (27) due to maintenance work have been postponed till tomorrow (28), the Power and Renewable Energy Ministry stated. The power cuts were due to run from 9.00am till 3.00pm in several areas in Colombo due to essential repairs on the 132KW cable network system in Colombo. However, the interruptions have been postponed in view of requests from the public as today is Esala Full Moon Poya Day. Accordingly, the power interruptions would occurred during the same time period tomorrow. Power supply would be disconnected in several areas including Colombo 3, 4, 5, 7 and 8 during the period the upgrade is taking place.
