COLOMBO (News 1st); The 5th Deputy National Security Advisors’ (DNSA) Level virtual meeting, ‘Colombo Security Conclave’ (CSC), related to maritime security commences on Wednesday (04) at the Army Headquarters. The CSC, the forum, meant to promote the maritime security in the Indian Ocean Region was first initiated by President Gotabaya Rajapaksa several years ago as the forum for Trilateral Maritime Security Cooperation among India, Maldives and Sri Lanka in 2011 when he was serving as the Secretary of Defence to the Ministry of Defence. Sri Lanka’s Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army General Shavendra Silva and Head of the National Operation Centre for Prevention of COVID-19 Outbreak (NOCPCO), together with a representative group of Tri-Service Officers represents the forum.
