Making his first appearance at the event, Collin Morikawa on Sunday won the British Open by two strokes. A year ago, Morikawa won the P.G.A. Morikawa, 24, becomes the first male golfer to win two different major golf championships while playing in them for the first time. He is the fourth American to win the British Open in the past 10 years. It was the fifth victory for Morikawa in a PGA Tour-sanctioned event.
