The arrested, Shariful Islam, assistant teacher of Chemistry Department of Patgram Adarsha Degree College was creating panic and confusion among locals and netizens with his misleading Facebook posts about coronavirus, police sources say. A case was filed on early hours of Wednesday by Patgram Police SI Ashraful Islam and Shariful was arrested later that night, confirmed OC Suman Kumar Mohonto of the police station. He was using his designation to spread misinformation and mistrust among locals towards the authority," said the OC. The teacher will be sent to jail after being presented before the court on Wednesday, police sources say.
