“Negligence of duty staff at PHCs, CHCs and Area Hospitals is the reason behind the public’s increasing dependence on private hospitals,” Mr. Bhaskar said. Mr. Bhaskar asked health officials why they were referring cases to KGH, when Agency hospitals have all facilities. “Even in hospitals which have gynaecologists and surgeons, the number of deliveries and surgeries are shown as zero,” the Collector said. “Though facilities are provided in area and district hospitals, their performance is poor,” Mr. Bhaskar said. Biometric attendanceThe District Collector ordered the setting up of high-resolution CCTV cameras at the entrance of every government hospital.
