Share TweetBy Chito ChavezAn electronic-waste (e-waste) collection event was held on Saturday in Barangay South Triangle in Quezon City to raise awareness on the environmentally sound management of broken or discarded electrical and electronic equipment. Pressed with the calls for ecological conservation, the activity was done in collaboration with national environmental authorities. In line with Republic Act 9003 (Ecological Solid Waste Management Act) and the Quezon City Environment Code, Ligon reiterated that e-waste must be segregated from domestic waste. After documenting the items received, the e-waste collected will be sent to the Integrated Recycling Industries.
