Coca-Cola and Pepsi-Co became the latest brands to stop business operations in Russia in response to the country’s invasion of Ukraine. “Our hearts are with the people who are enduring unconscionable effects from these tragic events in Ukraine,” Coke said in a statement Tuesday. “As a food and beverage company, now more than ever we must stay true to the humanitarian aspect of our business,” PepsiCo CEO Ramon Laguarta wrote to employees Tuesday, according to a memo obtained by CNBC. The soda titans are just the latest companies to cease operations within Russia.
