Coimbatore Metro Project gets going with tenders for carrying out topographical survey


AdvertisementCOIMBATORE (Metro Rail News): Indian Railways subsidiary RITES Ltd. has recently invited tenders in two packages for carrying topographical survey for feasibility and Detailed Project Report (DPR) for Mass Rapid Transit System in Coimbatore. Name of Work – Topographical survey using DGPS, Total Station, Auto Level and preparation of drawings using mapping software & Utilities Collection for Feasibility and Detailed Project Report for Mass Rapid Transit System in Coimbatore. The work will involve carrying out a detailed Topographic Survey along alignment (not less than 100m wide or up to built up lines whichever is more). Coimbatore Metro project comprises construction of five corridors for total length of 144 km. These corridors are –Line-1 from Kaniyur to Ukkadam Bus Terminus of length 26 kmLine-2 from Bilichi to Ukkadam Bus Terminus of length 24 kmLine-3 from Karanampettai to Thannerpandal of length 42 kmLine-4 from Ganeshapuram to Karunya Nagar of length 44 kmLine-5 from Ukkadam Bus Terminus to Coimbatore Integrated Bus Terminus of length 8 km
