Around 150 Micro, Small, and Medium-scale Enterprises (MSMEs) in Coimbatore city have joined forces to establish a cluster dedicated to the development, testing, and production of motors for electric vehicles (EVs). A detailed project report outlining the establishment of motor development and testing facilities was submitted to the Tamil Nadu government, as part of the micro cluster project. However, the government is promoting the use of domestic motors, presenting a high market potential for EV motors manufactured in the country. This program aims to educate the management and staff of interested units in the EV sector. The revised detailed project report will include this facility, ensuring comprehensive support for the development of EV motors.
