After several months of speculation, Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks have finally announced the rumored All Elite Wrestling promotion. Chatter about a possible national wrestling promotion began as early as October, when consummate pro wrestling revolutionary Chris Jericho vehemently denied any involvement with a new wrestling promotion or AXS TV. The report goes on to note that Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks are involved with the project. Dave Meltzer of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter reported Whitmer is expected to join All Elite Wrestling in a backstage capacity. JANUARY 1, 2019—Shortly after midnight, The Elite announced All Elite Wrestling with an event Double or Nothing.
