Coast Guard searches for 12 fishermen – The Manila Times


THE Philippine Coast Guard (PCG) continues its search for 12 fishermen whose fishing vessel sank off Recto Bank on November 6. Reports reaching the PCG headquarters in Manila said fishing vessel Three Sisters encountered strong winds and big waves brought by tropical cyclone “Quiel” while returning to its homeport at Barangay Sisiman, Mariveles, Bataan. Armand Balilo said one fishermen, identified as Angelito Epetito Jr., was rescued near Bajo de Masinloc the next day. “The fisherman said he was separated from 13 fellow fishermen due to strong winds and big waves and he was not able to regroup with his companions,” Balilo said.
