Team HeraldVASCO: The Indian Coast Guard (ICG) conducted a two-day Coastal Security Exercise ‘Sagar Kavach’ 02/24 along the coastline of Goa and Maharashtra. The Sagar Kavach exercise was conducted in coordination with the Indian Navy, Customs, Coastal Security Police, Central Industrial Security Force (CISF), Mormugao Port Authority (MPA), Directorate of Fisheries and the Captain of Ports. According to the Coast Guard, comprehensive coastal security exercise, aims at strengthening and enhancing the coastal and maritime security of our nation. Coast Guard, Indian Navy, Marine Police, Customs, Port Authorities and the Directorate of Fisheries. This exercise aimed to undertake awareness and information sharing amongst various stake holder, and formed a unified coastal security communication plan.
