Monrovia – Amid massive exodus from the Coalition of Democratic Change (CDC), the party has finally announced the holding of its primaries which has been a contentious issue leading to many resignations from of late. However, the acclaimed “party of the poor and downtrodden masses” is charging an ‘exorbitant’ amount of US$1,250 as application for a Representative candidate, more than what is charged by the National Elections Commission as application fee. But as the debate over the application fees is still ongoing, the party’s secretary general says the party does not see amount as unreasonably high as being claimed.
