New Delhi, Sept. 6: Coal India is negotiating with power companies in Bangladesh to sell the fossil fuel amid rising production and mounting stockpiles. "They (CIL) are in deep consultations with Bangladesh for exporting it," coal secretary Anil Swarup said today. Coal India subsidiaries - Bharat Coking Coal and North Eastern Coalfields - are likely to supply the fuel to Bangladesh power firms. "The coal produced by CIL is likely to be cheaper than the those supplied by Indonesia because of geographical and logistical advantage. Coal India's output grew 8.5 per cent to 536 million tonnes (mt) last fiscal.
