NEW DELHI: State-owned Coal India Limited (CIL) today announced the demise of one of its directors N Kumar. "N Kumar who was working as Director (Tech) of Coal India Ltd (CIL) died on October 18, and hence ceased to be the Director of the company," CIL said in a filing to BSE. Kumar had graduated in mining engineering (B.Tech-Mining) from Indian School of Mines, Dhanbad in 1980. He had assumed the charge of Director (Technical) of Coal India Limited on February 1, 2012. He was transferred to Eastern Coalfields Ltd (ECL) in 2001 in the same capacity and assumed the charge of General Manager in 2004 and Chief General Manager in 2007.
