Ethiopia National Team Head Coach Wubetu Abate has departed his role from the national team by mutual agreement with the Ethiopia Football Federation. Last year's victory over Egypt in an Afcon 2023 Qualifiers second-round match was his biggest achievement with the national team. Wubetu is a high-profile Ethiopian football coach with great pedigree. in his tenure as head coach of the "Walyas" as the Ethiopia national Football team is known, Coach Wubetu lead them through 36 matches (including friendly matches).
