CoA to brief House on DoH 'deficiencies'

Photo from House of Representatives of the Philippines FB PageThe Commission on Audit (CoA) will brief the House of Representatives on the "deficiencies" it found in the Department of Health's (DoHs) management of billions in Covid-19 funds. The briefing will also give the DoH officials the chance to account for the funds mentioned in the CoA report, Velasco said. In its audit report, CoA questioned the way P66.2 billion earmarked for coronavirus response was managed by the DoH last year. In the consolidated management letter sent to the DoH last May 4, CoA said it found "additional deficiencies" involving P1,036,390,245.26. "Hence, it is premature at this stage to make conclusions on the findings in the Consolidated Annual Audit Report," it said.
