CoA debars Tamil Nadu, Haryana and Maharashtra from BCCI election

The Committee of Administrators (CoA) has communicated to the Tamil Nadu Cricket Association, Haryana Cricket Association and Maharastra Cricket Association that their Constitutions are not in terms with the BCCI Constitution approved by the Supreme Court and hence they would not be allowed to take part in the BCCI AGM/ Election to be held here on October 23. It is mandatory upon full members to be compliant with the BCCI Constitution registered with the Tamil Nadu Registrar of Societies. The TNCA has been quite vocal in articulating its view that the CoA had not been given the authority by the Supreme Court to disqualify the BCCI members because they are non-compliant. Ramaswamy to take part in the BCCI AGM/Election, Haryana nominated Mrinal Ojha and Maharashtra’s nominee was Riyaz Bagban. All three are likely to approach the Supreme Court on this matter.
