A new Co-op convenience store at the One Maidenhead development in the town centre is likely to open in the ‘first quarter’ of next year, a spokesperson has said. The ‘Welcome’ brand is the convenience store franchise business of Southern Co-op. A spokesperson for Southern Co-op has said that while there is ‘still no firm date’ for the store’s opening it is ‘likely to be in the first quarter of 2026’. The major One Maidenhead regeneration scheme launched in June 2024 and consists of 429 flats and ground floor retail units. The licensing application for the new Southern Co-op store sought approval to sell alcohol (off premises) from Monday to Sunday from 6am to 11pm.
