Clyde businesses broken into

Central Otago business owners are being warned to remain vigilant after three businesses were broken into in Clyde last weekend. The burglaries follow four burglaries of commercial premises in and near Cromwell and Tarras between February2 and 19, and a break-in at the Bannockburn Hotel on February 22. In all the burglaries, entry was forced and cash was taken, Sergeant Bruce Terry, of Cromwell, said. He warned business owners to take extra care, ensure their alarms and security cameraswere working and not leave cash on their premises. Sgt Terry asked anyone in the community who noticed anything suspicious to phone the police.
