Queenstown's Millbrook Country Club is spending $1.5 million for what amounts to a boundary adjustment. In a decision released yesterday, the Overseas Investment Office revealed it had approved Millbrook's bid to buy 1.875 hectares of neighbouring land. The land was owned by Waterfall Park Development Limited. Millbrook property and development manager Ben O'Malley said the purchase was a minor boundary adjustment. He said the country club would "work into the adjacent land over time'', but there were no immediate development plans for the land.
