LOS ANGELES — Trade discussions between Boston, Washington and the Clippers that would have netted Los Angeles guard Malcolm Brogdon fell apart late Wednesday. In the initial framework of the deal, Washington forward Kristaps Porzingis would have opted into the final year of his contract as a prelude to being traded to Boston. Brogdon, 30, played 26 minutes off the bench for Boston while averaging 14.9 points, 4.6 assists and 4.2 rebounds. After Boston’s season ended in the Eastern Conference Finals, Brogdon said he was considering undergoing offseason surgery on his right elbow. ©2023 Los Angeles Times.
