(Kyle Gustafson for The Washington Post)CLEVELAND — While here for a campaign appearance on Wednesday, Hillary Clinton diverted from her schedule to meet with someone whom she has credited with helping her get through some angst-ridden days as a college student: Sir Paul McCartney. McCartney greeted Clinton backstage, where they talked privately for about 30 minutes, according to an aide. Topics were said to include the presidential race, their families and the Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, with Clinton offering McCartney congratulations for a strong performance by the British delegation. In April, among 25 “fun facts” she shared with Us Weekly, was this one: “I am, and always will be, a Beatles fan.”
