On Wednesday, hospitals in Berlin and Brandenburg admitted 17 new patients from Ukraine. Numerous Ukrainians have been treated in these hospitals since the end of February. It is not known exactly how many injured people from Ukraine have been treated in Berlin so far. Thuringia, Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt, Brandenburg and Berlin form the “East” region. If they do not have health insurance through their gainful employment, Ukrainians, like German citizens, have to contact the local job center.
