The day-long protest, which involved members of Greenpeace and Climate Justice Taranaki, began on Monday morning at the Ballance Kapuni site. In a statement, Greenpeace said its activists had locked themselves onto a blockade structure at the entrance to the factory. In a written statement Ballance said the protest presence had not had caused any disruption to its daily operations.
