"Of course there were (regrets)," said Clifford, who was named as Kerry captain after being nominated by East Kerry. "Any time that you are within three minutes of winning an All-Ireland and let it slip, you are going to harbour regrets. There was a lot lessons learned from losing to Dublin over those two games and there are lessons hopefully that we can bring forward to this year." However, Clifford doesn't believe there is a significant gap there between his Kerry side and the other top teams. Clifford played a starring role as East Kerry won their first Kerry championship in 20 years alongside his brother Paudie.
