A section of church leaders have opposed plans to increase the size of government, arguing it will burden Kenyans more. The group, calling itself the Kenya Council of Church Alliances and Ministries (KCCAM), said they also want some contentious issues in the Constitution revisited. “Most Kenyans would remember that the church opposed the then draft constitution on account of several items that were in contradiction with either our faith or freedom of worship. He said the church is still opposed to increasing of the size of government as it was 10 years ago. The church leaders also hit out at the government over rampant corruption, saying they will not remain silent any longer as resources meant for the public are plundered.
