A wildfire near Mount Carleton Provincial Park that burned out of control for at least two days is now 80 per cent contained, a spokesperson for the province says. Clear-cut area 'charred'Philippe Perron, a hunter and volunteer wildfire firefighter, said a clear-cut area has been completely burned. He said the wind has stopped it from spreading to the Mount Carleton Provincial Park, which is about 10 kilometres away. A wildfire had burned through 64 hectares near the Mount Carleton Provincial Park by Monday morning.
