SINGAPORE: A car caught fire in a multi-storey carpark in Woodlands on Tuesday morning, prompting three cleaners to lend a hand in putting out the blaze. In videos posted on social media by Hanis Husin, one of the cleaners was seen using a hose reel as smoke came out from the vehicle. SCDF personnel took over and extinguished the fire with compressed air foam and water from the hose reel used by the cleaners. A fire engine, two Red Rhinos, an ambulance and a support vehicle were dispatched. According to Hanis, the female car driver was trying to start the engine and ran out from the vehicle when she saw smoke coming out of the front bonnet.
