If you’re inside select TTC stations these days patiently waiting for your train, you may notice classical music being played through internal speakers. While the sound of classical tunes evokes a sense of zen and can be quite relaxing, the TTC has ulterior motives in mind. Since its introduction, classical music fever has strategically spread to 16 TTC stations (Greenwood, Finch, Dundas West, Runnymede, Bathurst, Main Street, Victoria Park, and Warden). Montreal-based company, Stingray360, pays for the licensing cost, according to TTC spokesman Danny Nicholson. Two TTC stations on the Yonge-University line, Yorkdale and Glencairn, are set for upcoming renovations.
