A Class 12 student from Kashmira near Mumbai died after collapsing suddenly in the classroom on Tuesday afternoon. Shashank Rahul Agarwal, 17, a student of Singapore International School (SIS), collapsed around 2pm. The school management rushed him to Bhakti Vedanta Hospital, Mira Road, where he was declared dead. “Shashank stayed at ​Triveni Sangam Apartments, Peddar Road, ​ where his father, Rahul runs a transport business,” said Vilas Sanap, senior inspector of Kashimira police station. The school will be closed on Wednesday in his memory and also the Diwali Mela has been cancelled due to the sudden death of Shashank, and the Prefects Investiture ceremony is also postponed.”
