Dame Clare Furse, who moves to HSBC next year, was the chief executive of the London Stock Exchange RAY TANG/REXDame Clara Furse will join HSBC UK as chairwoman next April. Furse, 59, is a non-executive director at Japanese bank Nomura, mobile phone operator Vodafone and travel booker Amadeus. The former chief executive of the London Stock Exchange has stepped down from the financial policy committee of the Bank of England. She was an MP for Erewash and chief executive at the British Bankers’ Association and Energy UK. Nils Andersen has been appointed as a non-executive director at oil giant BP.
