Claims of bullying at Auckland City Hospital mortuary unfounded, probe concludes

A probe into allegations of bullying at Auckland City Hospital's mortuary has found that the claims "did not have substance". "There is no positive obligation upon an employer to exercise a discretion, so long as it acts in good faith when considering it and declining to do so." An independent investigator was appointed and in January 2015, Morgan raised a personal grievance for unjustified disadvantage and breach of good faith. In June last year, Morgan started working part-time at the Hamilton mortuary, under supervision, before returning to work at the Auckland City mortuary last September. It also noted that there is a possibility that WorkSafe may formally investigate Morgan's complaint and that a prosecution may follow.
