His comments follow public remarks by Dr Stephen Amoah, who questioned the decision to appoint Dr Amin Adam as substantive finance minister after the removal of Ken Ofori-Atta. Dr Amoah, who briefly served as Deputy Minister of Finance, insisted he was better suited for the role. He claimed pressure was mounted for a northerner to be named finance minister. Dr Amin Adam’s response adds to growing internal debates within the NPP as the party prepares for the next general elections.
