more-inSome 750 are expected to have qualified from the States of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in the Civil Services Preliminary examination the results of which were released on Thursday. All aspirants who have qualified, will have to appear at the Civil Services Main Examination which is scheduled to commence in October. The number of qualified candidates is expected to have come down this year by about 200 in the two Telugu states. The UPSC announced around 1,000 vacancies this year and it usually selects aspirants equivalent to 13 times the number of announced vacancies. Moreover, the aspirants have felt that this year’s preliminary examination was tougher than the previous years.
